Psychoanalysis is a naughty boy

Psychoanalysis is revolutionary or just a nuisance, a mischievous boy who draws attention to then communicate their novel views.

In 1909, Clark University, Worcester, Massachusetts, United States, celebrated the 20th anniversary of its foundation, and its president, G. Stanley Hall invited Freud and Carl G. Jung to participate in this celebration, which would confer the title of honorary members.

Freud confessed, this was the first notable recognition received psychoanalysis.

In gratitude for this honor, the inventor of psychoanalysis offered five lectures improvised and poorly thought out, in German.

It is easy to imagine the face of boredom slaughtered attendees.

The sense of opportunity Freud demonstrated this attitude so unfavorable to its objectives. In other words, I venture to think that Freud wanted and also did not want his ideas were accepted.

Only when he returned home in Vienna (Austria), decided to write and someone was responsible for translating into different languages.

Those interested in knowing what psychoanalysis can read (1) in their preferred language. Worthwhile.

Apparently, when Freud and Jung were coming to New York to participate in these events at Clark University, Freud had expressed: "You will be surprised when they hear what we have to say."

When Jacques Lacan Freud said this comment, modified it to transform it into "Do not know that we bring the plague".

In other words, Jacques Lacan comment insignificant transformed into a malevolent slogan, as if psychoanalysis had intended to provoke, irritate, annoy.

Well, I think so: psychoanalysis is meant to disturb.

Psychoanalysis is revolutionary or just a nuisance, a mischievous boy who draws attention to then communicate their novel views.
