Similarity between resist and fight

Common sense tells us to resist and fight wrongly are opposite attitudes though, calmly analyzed, we can see how similar.

We never heard the expression "making losses." Rather hear "endure losses', which always seems to lose passive in which compromises the resistance rather than strength.

Both qualities (strength and endurance), seemingly opposite, but if we pay more attention might think that to overcome the obstacles that prevent us to live sometimes we need to have ability to endure and sometimes we need to be able to transform reality by force.

They are so similar that in many cases we do not know whether to use one or the other. For example: what do we do if our child's teacher shows an aggressive attitude toward him?

- Try to rectify her attitude by talking?

- We denounce the fact the superior?

- We talk to the parents of all children to form a pressure group?

- Organize a coup with boos, posters, horns and banging of pots, outside the house of the teacher?

- Raptamos mother.

Or, conversely, applying our resilience:

- Instruct our child to carry a voice recorder, permanently on, to record the injuries of the teacher?

- We provide our one microphone to monitor the situation from a van equipped with satellite dish, prepared to deter staff educator showing their heavy weapons?

- We consulted a psychiatrist to medicate the child with drugs that will rebalance any emotional instability?

- Organize a party in honor of her teacher, slide indirect speeches about his aggressive attitude towards our small?

- We changed our son from school?

As we can see in this serious, thorough and scientific description, is as hard to resist as combat.

Note: Original in Spanish (without translation by Google): Similitud entre resistir y combatir.
