So work the self-help books

The self-help books block our critical capacity. This violence pleasantly frees us from the responsibility of thinking.

Dramatize a situation very unlikely but not impossible.

For circumstances not relevant here, you are threatened with death unless he commits a serious infidelity in the company for which they work.

Imagine being abducted in the street, get into a vehicle four men with faces half-covered by dark glasses and say that if they do not steal planes city under their custody at the place where his family will suffer the consequences.

Is released quickly and call the next day to instruct where to put those plans.

Needless to say that when you discover the theft of the plans you will culpabilizado. However, if you can prove that it was under threat, the responsibility will fall on those who kidnapped and coerced.

As I said this is a dramatization. That is exaggerated compared to what I want to tell you.

Now tell them something infinitely more lightweight but structurally similar.

When you read a book or listening to a lecture in which the author makes frequent references to what were the authoritative sources on which it relied to tell what he is saying, the following occurs:

1) When the writer or speaker is accompanied by such amounts as important references to the listener, to run out the possibility of arguing, rebelling, questioning, criticizing. These learned (prestigious) references foursome equivalent to violent and threatening kidnappers because you will have no choice but to accept the proposals of the writer or speaker;

2) On the other hand you unconsciously feel gratified because they feel relieved of the responsibility to question, criticize, think, judge.

So work the self-help books.
