Congress prison

The congresses organized and paid by employers or professional meetings have similarities with offenders in prisons.

Here are some data that I need to share with you a comment.

The first two definitions offered by the dictionary of the Royal Spanish Academy (1) of the word "congress", are:

1. m. Board (meeting) of several people to discuss some business.

2. m. Conference regular usually when members of an association, body, body, career, etc.., Meet to discuss matters previously fixed.

The organization of a conference, meeting or meeting demand involved several qualities, such as creativity, imagination, foresight, flexibility, order, energy, adaptability, patience, good humor, healthy physical condition.

Who organize a congress, should engage the services of a hotel located in the most convenient location for the task and the participant access, with adequate facilities for general meetings, to small commission meeting, places to rest, leisure, without forgetting that the costs are reasonable for the potential payment of participants.

There are experts in managing all matters concerning the organization and operation of Congress, which as befits the mindset of those who usually attend these events, have a pompous name (including initials): Professional Congress Organizer (PCO).

With these elements, I can only comment that, with some variations, people punish our criminals organizing them a long conference (sentence length), paying all necessary, by providing attendees (inmates) prison facilities we built for this purpose.

The fact that there are some luxurious conference (organized and paid by employers or professional) and other less luxurious (and taxes paid by the company for improving offenders) is not sufficient to conclude that they are entirely different. They are quite similar.

Note: Original in Spanish (without translation by Google): Congreso carcelario
