Prejudices about young and old

When employers decide to include staffing decisions in certain prejudices which applicants must consider.

I do not know if I read, heard or dreamed a phrase that says: "Young people go where they want and go where the old bear."

Of the many meanings we can play, I'll take that under which it is possible to think that young people are restless, energetic, libertarian rebel challengers, narcissistic, while the old is (are) still, with little energy, submissive, humble, little questioning, less narcissistic.

I am not considering the interpretation that it is normal for older children are admitted for residence in a specialized, because I'm referring to those who are still active, that is, I am referring to the older workers, for example, over 45 years.

Young workers are sought by employers who need to train people in specific tasks, because young people learn more easily than veterans. Also are sought because they often accept lower wages.

Workers over 45 are requested by employers who need people submissive attitudes predictable, easy to understand and fulfill the orders given to them, with the task to high shrinkage and low absenteeism.

In another article (1) said that young people tend to have manic features in both are enthusiastic, changeable, impulsive, idealistic, utopian, while veterans tend to have depressive features in both are moderate, stable, conservative, realistic, pragmatic.

All descriptions that did nothing more than prejudices because we can not say that the young and old are in one way or another. Each is worthy to be evaluated individually, but the truth is that that bias influences decisions of many employers and should know.
