Mathematics as a tool in teaching

In educational systems teach us theories consistent 90% and 10 % of contradictory practices. It should be taken into account.

Teachers and students are linked in a competitive relationship.

We assume that in our culture (and almost all), the accumulation of knowledge brings superior features. We believe that "it humanly who knows more."

While teachers are required to deliver knowledge to students, because that's what they get paid, also wish they be overcome by them. In other words, teachers do their homework paid, but are not willing to lose "human value" to anyone.

The proof of this assertion is the hypocrisy with which it is sometimes said that the student should surpass the master. This is not, of course, intended to anyone. Nobody wants to be beaten by anyone. Teachers are human beings, have to teach things they know, but the best defenders know they must "know a kilo gram to teach", thanks to which make it clear that a student can never overcome.

But to ensure that this danger over should not frighten provides teachers with a deadly weapon and infallible mathematics. Thanks to this course, they do not know much, they make sure that students have to graduate promising worms crawling like mathematics ignorant because they sprayed all the vagaries that may someday surpass the master.

All these comments, not just try to explain why school leavers in mathematics are global, but also to support a much broader and deeper: that reality is as it is and not as it should be.

In all education systems teach us theories consistent 90% and 10 % of contradictory practices. It should be taken into account.
