The money is worth less than love

Humans are more willing to sacrifice to keep the love that face economic difficulties.

Consider what would happen in a country where, due to low international prices of products exported, the rulers had to announce to the public that starting Monday, will see their quality of life diminished by 10%.

Perhaps these leaders think seriously of emigrating to Mars.

The collective outrage would turn against them, they would try to kill the messenger, accuse him of not knowing the rule, the people would take to the streets to demand justice distributive exemption sacrifice.

Now consider what would happen in a country where, due to an unexpected military invasion from the neighboring country, the rulers had to urgently recruit men and women between 18 and 50 years, to cope with their bodies to enemy bullets.

While it would appear the inevitable cases of desertion, who would try to falsify your personal data not to be excluded from the heroic call.

Why so similar situations (decreased quality of life) would cause such opposite reactions.

I propose to think our minds work as family models, because it was these that we developed and designed the affections, feelings, emotions.

When rulers pose an austerity policy by a decline in the value of production exported or when parents see their income reduced, citizens or children (respectively) interpret that there is a cooling off of love received, consider the economic impairment reality is indifference.

When rulers seek help the people to save the country or parents ask austerity to help family affected by some external factor (the illness of a member, for example), there is a love call, it appeals to the emotional involvement, the sense of belonging, collective love.
