Promises and threats

An emotional blackmail (threats of resignation, suicide), is effective if the victim believes that the blackmailer controls their actions.

The belief in determinism (ie, that we have no freedom to do what we want but we are always determined by known and unknown factors), it may not be true but the fact is that resolves some intellectuals.

For example, when we think someone is wrong, what we are really saying, (from the point of view of deterministic), is determined by factors that are different from the majority.

These factors may be genetic, historical, organic, family, economic, religious.

The deterministic mistakes and never thought much less guilt. In any case, when someone has a behavior that leads to a loss, we could say that was just bad luck.

The deterministic understand that the random-shuffling all the factors influencing our news-ordered so that a loss occurred which are not liable to blame, and could have been ordered so that the result was fortunate, for which there is no charge to congratulate.

From this point of view, no one is responsible (guilty or creator) of what happens, notwithstanding which, for now we have to assume that the holder of an injury that harms others should take over compensate, like GUILTY.

In this logic, one can feel-and to be sure, 'that their presence is essential for others. Something happens to one who seeks to impose his will by threatening to resign, leave, leave, and even suicide.

In short: An emotional blackmail (threats of resignation, abandonment, suicide), is effective if the victim believes that the blackmailer controls their actions.
