The atrocities economic

Because economic factors are always present in the worst atrocities against humanity, many people prefer not to talk about them.

I do not know who, but wisely said that the death of a human being is murder but the death of millions of human beings is a statistic.

It has to attract attention as our sensitivity react more passionately to the death of some isolated individuals and tends to indifference when what happens is genocide (extermination, ethnic cleansing, holocaust).

But the death of millions of human beings is not a statistic because of the worst mass crimes have no reliable data. Historians are confused, dizzy, become enveloped in a fog intellectual can only be justified by recognizing that our intellectual capacity is so low that it does not realize how low it is.

While the worst events belong to the 20th century, long before such acts occurred.

Much of the millions of people who lived in America before the arrival of the Spanish, English, Portuguese and French (among others), were killed by the invaders.

African people were taken to be sold as slaves, but many came to America because they died due to travel conditions.

In the early 20th century, the Ottoman Empire was about to exterminate the Armenians.

Perhaps Stalin's regime was responsible for the deaths of between one and sixty million Russians ... As seen, the disregard for human life is not enough to know whether it was one or sixty million.

Something similar happened with the Nazis in Germany, with the Chinese Cultural Revolution and the list goes on.

As economic factors are always present in these atrocities, many people prefer not to talk about them.
