The cost of (control) life



We spend energy worrying for the sole purpose of holding the belief that we control our life and death.

Perhaps if we stopped worrying, nothing would change too.

Hard to believe this suggestion because we are convinced that we are the actors, the actors, the real perpetrators of the appropriate action to be as usual our circumstances are.

What would happen without us stop worrying and replacement of this concern we began to faithfully respect our desire?

For example: my desire is to bathe daily, live in an environment provided with a certain amount of light, temperature, silence. I also want to have some furniture, tools, machines. I also keep some ties through meetings, conversations, messages.

 I can think that desire is a organic phenomenon, as effective as it needs (breathing, eating, resting), but differs from these by its urgency: the need is urgent, necessary, inevitable while the wishes and support a postponement until radical repression.

Both needs and desires pressure on me to perform certain specific actions whose urgency is determined by the degree of discomfort they feel.

There needs body on which I have to worry because they are automatic (glandular functioning, gastrointestinal movements, blood circulation), others are almost completely automatic as breathing, scratching, coughing, others depend on specific actions such as eating, sleep, defecate.

The needs we push through pain, are coercive, imperialists. Desires are softer yet in their demands, they turn to the insistence, to persuasion. The desires seeking satisfaction with democratic procedures and so, as we are "children of rigor" we attend when we can, if we have time.

We have elements to conclude that we spend energy worrying for the sole purpose of holding the belief that we control our life and death.
