Sacrifice as prize

Psychological procedures exist for believing that a notoriously harmful event is actually a test or training benefit.

If any of us were employed by a prestigious company and we were appointed to do a course that demands much study us, or if we were nominated for a grueling workout, would have sufficient reason to believe that those responsible for the management of human resources are in us someone with great potential, talented enough for training expenses that allow be classified as investments.

Although this good image that inspired the directors have honored us and fills us with pride, we must recognize that training requirements we demand a great sacrifice.

In our state of mind surely influence the opinion of the witnesses to this new situation. Beyond our own assessment, we will welcome many people compliment us or show evidence of some envy our lot.

Although it sounds paradoxical, we find here a quality of envy: helps us to know that our situation is valuable, desirable, honorable. In other words, the envy of others informs us that we are getting lucky, which we are not always able to perceive.

So here we have real situations, specific, objective, easy to understand, but there are other less real, concrete, objective and easy to understand.

When our luck down and started to feel discomfort in varying degrees, our nature can react in two ways:

- It warns and initiates a strong effort to improve living conditions, or, conversely

- Begin to assume that this situation, which is unfortunate for almost all, in fact it is a test, training or training that is gone because someone higher, maybe God has chosen to give a prize enviable.
