In other items (1) I commented that our minds are capable of "killing (or reward) the messenger”, confusing the narrating certain events with who was the cause of these events.
Although breaking bad news seems to be a nasty role, there are those who want to enjoy deliberately assume a particular situation.
For example: someone has to tell them to certain family members of a deceased person not included in the distribution of wealth (will).
Even knowing that the recipients of the bad news is famous for its folly and its rapid appeal to violence, someone offers to give them the bad news.
Why this volunteer is exposed to be insulted, beaten and eventually killed?
1) He delights just thinking how they transfigure the face when they receive the news. No horror movie can play this, Live, generating a kind of electricity in the air. "I want to be there", said the volunteer, "See the face that will Aunt Eugenia, is something that is not paid for anything";
2) volunteer wants to feel protagonist, visible, watched, will feel in the center of the attention of people charged with strong feelings, dramatic, hardly be repeated;
3) Perhaps the occasion may be exploited to take revenge of some discomfort that they all but unnoticed, however, this messenger kept with rancor, awaiting the opportunity to get even;
4) The regime of impunity malignancy is highly enjoyable for most. It is little known because there are few opportunities we have to exercise a power so great that no one could stop or punish. Delivering bad news rationally generates pain but not the responsibility of the messenger.
