The weakness of the words and poverty

For our psyche not have room for their great fears (homosexuality, crime, suicide), often filled with prayers and fantasies.

A human being can believe in God because you let your imagination and fear of the forces.

According to the Scriptures, a magical being, possessed of all the virtues we wish to have, a superhero, a la Batman or Spider-Man, was so powerful that just saying "Let there be light," there was light .

The most famous illusionists, (Harry Houdini, David Copperfield, David Blaine), mimic those phenomena exhibiting miracles, so inexplicable, could be miraculous.

Generally, the illusionists are matched inexplicable occurrence, with a verbal command, similar to the Old Testament attributed to this superior being, doing what we know today.

I propose to think that the classic reaction of "kill the messenger" is closely related to the belief that a certain voice command can generate illogical events.

In general, almost nobody wants to be the spokesman of bad news. Most try to be the first to proclaim the good news.

In both cases, the desire to advertise, inform others, is at the heart of the vocation of journalists.

Whether it is to "kill the messenger" to "reward the messenger", our psyche falls countless times in the delusional assumption that someone causes a phenomenon as just giving a verbal order, by force of the speech itself, the statement.

Those who are convinced of the unlimited power of the word, both spoken curses and prayers, both condemn as beg, beg therefore come as getting a job, love, health.

Fill your mind with words, prayers, curses, from thinking, functions as fixed ideas, obsessions shrink as the ability to think (1).
